KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manufacturing Quality & Process Excellence
Lead, manage, and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all manufacturing quality engineering activities across assigned operations.Identify, develop, and deploy new or improved manufacturing methods to enhance safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and build schedules.Apply robust engineering fundamentals, quality tools, and standardized processes to achieve stable, capable, and compliant manufacturing outcomes.Ensure all manufacturing work instructions, control plans, process documentation, and procedures are accurate, current, complete, and rigorously followed.Lead PFMEA development and maintenance, ensuring strong feedback loops between product design, manufacturing, and test activities.Champion first-time quality, scrap reduction, and continuous product and process improvement initiatives.New Product Launch & Program Management
Lead end-to-end manufacturing quality support for new program launches from quotation through SOP and full production.Own APQP execution, ensuring successful completion of PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, Run @ Rate, and launch readiness reviews.Develop and execute realistic project plans aligned with cost, timing, capacity, and quality targets.Serve as the primary manufacturing quality interface between product development and manufacturing teams to ensure robust product and process readiness.Participate in review and quotation activities for new programs, including assessment of process feasibility, tooling, equipment, and quality risks.Customer Quality & Issue Resolution
Maintain strong customer focus in defining quality expectations, prioritizing issues, and driving corrective actions.Lead and support customer claim resolution, containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action using disciplined problem-solving methodologies.Ensure effective escalation, communication, and documentation of emerging customer issues in alignment with global and plant-level escalation procedures.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and quality updates to customers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.Operational Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Provide daily manufacturing quality engineering support to operations, proactively identifying risks and addressing issues impacting quality and delivery.Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain leaders to drive aligned execution.Evaluate and implement solutions involving new technologies, equipment, materials, or manufacturing concepts.Confer with management and production teams to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.Leadership, People & Performance Management
Own departmental master planning, including resource allocation, workflow prioritization, and KPI deployment.Drive performance to achieve manufacturing and quality KPIs; monitor trends and implement corrective actions.Build, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing quality engineering team.Set clear expectations, conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure individual development plans are executed.Actively participate in recruiting, onboarding, and talent development activities.Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across production teams and AQP Steering Committee activities.Strategy, Capital & Systems Management
Assist in the development and execution of the Manufacturing and Quality Engineering strategic plans.Recommend, justify, and administer capital investments, including tooling, equipment, and process improvements.Review, quote, and support selection of production equipment, tooling, and gages; track tooling and authorization for expenditure (AR).Ensure effective documentation, quality systems, and process control mechanisms are developed, implemented, and maintained.Safety, Compliance & Workplace Standards
Lead by example in compliance with plant safety rules, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and code of conduct.Ensure team participation in safety and health training and reinforce a culture of safety and operational discipline.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from a four-year college or university.7 -10 years Engineering experience.Managed/Facilitated two product launches/programs. Must be available to travel 5 days/month with minimal notification.KEY JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
