The Manager of Major Gifts will play a pivotal role in securing philanthropic support for St. Joseph’s Health by cultivating and stewarding relationships with high-net-worth individuals. This position will focus on raising significant funds to support the hospital's mission, programs, and initiatives that directly impact patient care, research, and community health services.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related field preferred. At least 3–5 years of experience in major gift fundraising, preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or academic settings. Proven track record of securing major gifts from individuals, foundations, or corporations. Experience with donor management software (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce). Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of hospital operations, healthcare philanthropy, and donor stewardship. Ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans and initiatives. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of prospect research software and methods.
