The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative **Operations and Industrial Engineering Manager 1** at our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of **Baltimore, Maryland -** where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman’s ATL microelectronics facility is a unique high-mix production environment supporting semiconductor devices, RF/microwave assemblies, and advanced microelectronics packaging. Our engineering and operations teams provide cutting-edge process development and manufacturing excellence in support of programs across avionics, space and defense systems. **What You'll Get To Do:** The **Operations and Industrial Engineering Manager 1** will be responsible for leading technical and management activities associated with industrial engineering, data analytics, project management, and tactical operations engineering functions within the ATL facility. The manager will serve as a functional and technical leader for a group of engineers supporting manufacturing excellence, capacity planning, process improvement, and production control. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead a team of Industrial Engineers and tactical Operations Engineers. + Drive factory performance improvements in cost, schedule, and quality using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision making. + Implement and maintain capacity models, production forecasting, and demand analysis tools to support strategic planning. + Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and program teams to optimize workflows, reduce cycle time, and improve throughput. + Oversee tactical operations support including constraint management, WIP control, and manufacturing floor decision-making. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation while encouraging professional development of staff. + Ensure compliance with company standards, ethics, and operational excellence goals. \#NGATL \#NGMCFab **Basic Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or PhD with 1 year of relevant experience. + Experience in a manufacturing, microelectronics, or semiconductor production environment. + Prior management or leadership experience (team lead, project lead, organization lead, etc.) + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, statistical process control (SPC), and data analytics methods. + Experience with implementing and maintaining capacity models, production forecasting, and demand analysis tools to support strategic planning. + U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required. **Preferred Qualifications:** + MS degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering or other related technical disciplines. + Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments. + Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage change, implement process improvements, and lead cross-functional initiatives. + Experience with factory modeling, capacity planning, and simulation tools. + Familiarity with microelectronics, semiconductor processes, or advanced packaging. + Experience in a cleanroom environment. \#NGMCFab Primary Level Salary Range: $112,600.00 - $169,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
