Manager in Training

We’re seeking a motivated Manager in Training to join a growing industrial distribution business serving the mining, industrial, and fire protection sectors. This is a hands-on role designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in operations, sales, and leadership within a high-growth environment in Winnipeg, MB.
You’ll start by learning the operation from the inside out, including time in the warehouse and customer-facing roles. As you develop, you’ll take on greater responsibility across sales, customer relationships, and operations.

What You'll Do: Managing customer interactions by phone, email, and in person Processing orders and converting quotes into sales Supporting key accounts and prospecting new customers Coordinating large projects and tracking lead times Assisting with counter sales and customer service Supporting warehouse operations (picking, packing, shipping, receiving) Operating material-handling equipment, including forklift (as required) Resolving customer issues related to pricing, returns, and delivery Supporting outside sales and internal operations Learning and using the ERP system (M3 – no experience required) Contributing to sales targets and overall branch performance
What We’re Looking For: Post-secondary education (college or university) 1+ year of experience in customer service, inside sales, contracting, or an industrial environment is an asset Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Comfortable learning new systems and processes Ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, and close sales
