Department Overview
The Front to Back Operational Excellence team collaborates with partners across the organization to execute the Front to Back framework, a differentiating factor in the TD strategy. Front to Back, a holistic operational excellence framework, is an approach applied to complex business problems that involves a current state assessment using a fact-based, hypothesis-led diagnostic that creates a baseline to identify top opportunities. The Front to Back improvements are then deployed using cross-functional teams across the organization to design and implement the changes. In partnership, this new approach will drive improved alignment across the organization and enhanced colleague and customer experiences.
About This Role
This Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for leading the Capabilities and Technology workstream of Front To Back Operational Excellence framework. The mandate is to help define current and target state capabilities across a value stream by identifying capability gaps, overlaps and automation opportunities and facilitate technical design solutions that drive the greatest value for the Enterprise. You will be valued and respected for your leadership and guidance. You’ll champion team success by continually learning about and providing thought leadership on technology solutions and capabilities.

Build deep relationships with various business groups across the enterprise, especially within TECE and TechnologyDocument & translate technical / complex concepts into easy-to-understand business language via successful executive messagingYou must be able to deep dive into the details of business, operations, and engineering, and lead the mapping of current state technology landscape.For assigned value streams identify impacts on individual capabilities, determine needs/ requirements/ priorities, define options, and develop front to back holistic solution planProvide early guidance to business partners on technology capabilities and limitations to shape requirements for target stateLeads iterative solution design and prototyping efforts to define the "right" solution to meet current and future business goals and lead the MVP design sessions for those solutionsArticulate & document the business and technical rationale for the solutions being proposed, including cost drivers and benefitsHelp define & document success metrics of proposed solutions and ensure alignment between expected benefits and capabilities of target stateSpecific Educational Requirements
Post-secondary education in a business-related discipline (MBA is an asset)Experience in designing, developing and delivering automation and technology solutions is an assetOther Qualifications / Skills / Experience
