Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manger General Manufacturing 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Advanced Composites Manufacturing organization. This leadership role is located in El Segundo, CA.

The Manager General Manufacturing 3 will have the responsibility, authority, and accountability for leading the manufacturing activities of given cost centers within the , Advanced Composites Center including quality, cost and schedule objectives as well as safety,  and factory accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing direction and coaching to Management team, technicians, and other production personnel in the assembly and manufacturing areas.Ensures team members receive the required training and prepare the daily work plans in support of overall program objectives.Encourages and provides direction for career development of employees, including educational options for highly motivated employees.Provides leadership/direction to ensure all affordability initiatives and opportunities for process improvements are systematically identified, pursued, and supported.Lead team to execute and meet or exceed program milestonesWorks closely with Programs, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, Quality, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain and customer meeting customer requirements.Provides guidance and input to program IPT’s defining appropriate performance, risks, issues and opportunities affecting program unique requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma/GED AND 7+ years of related professional/military experience in composites manufacturing OR a Bachelor’s Degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in composite manufacturing environment.Must have 3 years of prior management experience.Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access prior to commencement of employment. Ability to create and present professional PowerPoint presentations to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

Composite Manufacturing ExperienceExperience leading manufacturing teamsFamiliarization with MESPrior experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)Expert level proficiency with oral and written communication skillsAbility to negotiate and integrate different viewpointsAble to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result

Primary Level Salary Range: $140,500.00 - $210,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
