Manager Faculty Development

 

The Manager Faculty Development is responsible for overseeing faculty performance, improving instructional quality, and supporting the professional growth of faculty members. This role includes faculty recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluation, and continuous development to foster a student-centered learning environment. The position collaborates with academic leadership to uphold institutional standards and enhance faculty engagement.

Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables

Partner with HR to recruit and hire faculty who meet institutional and program requirements.Oversee faculty onboarding, providing training on institutional policies, instructional methodologies, and expectations for course delivery.Develop and maintain faculty schedules, aligning assignments with program needs and ensuring effective course coverageConduct regular faculty evaluations, offering constructive feedback and individualized development plans to improve teaching effectiveness and student engagement.Monitor instructional delivery to align with academic standards, institutional goals, and student success metrics.Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to faculty, promoting best practices in instructional strategies and classroom management.Analyze student performance data to assess teaching effectiveness and identify areas for instructional improvement.Support faculty in the effective use of educational resources and technology to enhance learning outcomes.Address faculty concerns, resolve instructional challenges, and facilitate communication between faculty and academic leadership.Supervise faculty as assigned, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.Establish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metricsRecognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievementsOther duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, technology, business administration or related field (required)Minimum of five (5) years of experience in higher education (required)Minimum of three (3) years of experience in management (preferredThree (3) years of experience in a proprietary online higher education environment (required)Knowledge of Campus Nexus (preferred)


Skills

Highly proficient in educational technology, including LMSStrong sense of urgency in assisting othersSkilled in analysis to make data-driven decisions to enhance faculty performance and student outcomes


Abilities

Ability to be on-call as scheduledAbility to apply instructional strategies tailored to diverse learner needs

Work Environment

Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.This position is eligible for a remote, hybrid, on campus or an on site work location to meet business needs. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures. Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions.
