**Position Overview**
The Facilities and Health & Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring all TCO properties, infrastructure and working environments across Retail and Corporate in UK, Ireland and Nordics are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose. This role oversees all aspects of facilities management while leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of health and safety policies in line with UK legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and relevant regulations.
The role involves proactive risk management, statutory compliance, contractor oversight, and continuous improvement of workplace standards. Working closely with senior leadership, employees, and external regulatory bodies, the Facilities and Health & Safety Manager plays a critical role in protecting people, assets, and business continuity while promoting a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.
**Key Accountabilities**
**Facilities Management of all Tiffany locations both standalone and concessions in UK, Ireland and Nordics and additional oversite of Corporate Office and LTSC**
+ Key liaison with Store Planning EMEA and New York
+ Build strong relationships with Internal teams, landlords, and local authorities
+ Act as the primary point of contact for facilities, H&S related issues and communication.
+ Ensure that all locations are compliant with TCO International Facilities & Special Maintenance, unplanned CER Procedures and other policies as may be directed.
+ Act as primary liaison with landlords and agents regarding service charges, repairs, alterations, and real estate development leasing concerns.
+ Management and negotiation of service contracts e.g. cleaning, maintenance, electrical, communications, office equipment, IT equipment etc.) and ensuring the service level agreements are met. Convey all contracts to Finance Director for review and approval. Ensure complianceof all service contracts to company standards.
+ Manage operating budgets, service charges and cost control initiatives. Ensure that all costs are within planned amounts and CER are raised for capital expenditures.
+ Contribute to crisis management and business continuity planning procedures
+ Oversee and coordinate the execution of all works/renovations/repairs and adhoc maintenance works in conjunction with TCO Real Estate services Dept and Regional Project Management
+ Coordination of repairs and planned maintenance of all buildings and equipment.
**Health & Safety Development & Management**
+ Key liaison with Global Protection
+ Develop, implement, and maintain the retail health & safety management system in line with TCO standards.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and company policies. Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into practical retail controls.
+ Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards across stores, LTSC, and offices. Lead regular risk assessments for specific risks (slips/trips, manual handling, lone working, fire, plant & equipment).
+ Ensure safe systems of work are documented, communicated, and followed.
+ Oversee reporting, investigation, and analysis of incidents, near misses, and injuries. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions. Manage notifiable incidents and liaise with internal stakeholders and regulators where required.
+ Conduct safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks across retail, LTSC and office locations. Track and close out corrective actions in a timely manner.
+ Develop and deliver health & safety training for store teams, managers, and new starters.
+ Ensure mandatory training (inductions, manual handling, emergency procedures) is completed and refreshed for all locations.
+ Monitor supplier compliance with health & safety requirements. Manage contractor health & safety prequalification, induction, and on-site compliance and ensure safe coordination of contractors working in live retail environments.
+ Maintain emergency response plans for stores, LTSC, and offices.
+ Ensure fire safety systems, evacuation procedures, and drills are in place and tested.
+ Support incident and crisis response, including client facing activations and events.
+ Promote a positive, practical safety culture across the retail network. Engage with store teams to encourage hazard reporting and proactive safety behaviours.
+ Act as a trusted advisor, balancing compliance with commercial realities.
+ Review and improve health & safety processes, tools, and systems. Benchmark retail safety performance against industry best practice.
**Qualifications**
+ Proven experience in facilities/building management ideally in retail or multi-tenanted environments.
+ Strong stakeholder communication and relationship management skills
+ Broad Knowledge of regulatory environment including English Heritage Construction Design Management legislation, building regulations Approval, Local Planning Authority and ability to negotiate with these groups
+ Health & Safety and Fire legislation, Building regulations qualified (NEBOSH General Certificate)
+ Technical understanding of building systems and maintenance planning
+ Sound knowledge and experience of high standards from service providers
+ Proven experience in fire, emergency action and disaster recovery procedures
+ Team management experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Strong experience in Budgeting and contract management (including leases) and negotiation
