Manager Environmental Services

Crouse’s Environmental Services team is hiring a Manager to direct and coordinate all activities associated with Environmental Services within the organization to ensure that services to patients, employees, visitors and guests are efficient and consistent with hospital-wide goals and objectives.

Pay Range: $80,000 plus based on experience and education

Available Schedule(s):

Full-time, day shift, 7:00am-3:30pm

Manager Responsibilities:

 

Performs staff management functions related to employee selection, on-boarding/orientation, coaching/development, staffing, work assignments, performance management and goal alignment as guided by hospital policy and procedures and collective bargaining unit agreement (when applicable). Professionally directs, supervises and coordinates all activities related to the efficient completion of environmental services tasks within the hospital. Accurately establishes and maintains safety, infection and environmental control policies and procedures within the department. Properly verifies current supply levels and proactively directs the requisition of new supplies and equipment to the department. Accurately maintains manifests and documentation for all hazardous waste disposal and hazardous materials lists for each area of the facility. Compiles and distributes department specific reports, as requested, per existing department, state and federal policy and procedure. Diligently review and update electronic SDS (Safety Data Sheet) binder and proactively notify employees regarding revisions and updates. Proficiently use building automation system and energy management system. Professionally liaises with third party vendors to ensure requests for services are met in a timely manner. Accurately documents and compiles annual reports as indicated by the EPCRA Act (Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act).

Manager Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Housekeeping/Business Administration, Hotel/Hospitality Management, Facilities Management or related field. Current certification as Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) preferred. Valid New York State driver’s license. Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory environmental services related experience.
