Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary** The Engineering Manager – Tools & Test Systems leads a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting Solar turbine test tools, data acquisition systems, and industrial software applications used in Test cells and in house Engineering team. This role combines technical leadership with people management, requiring strong expertise in .NET development, turbine test systems, LabVIEW, and modern application architectures. The ideal candidate has 12+ years of deep hands-on experience with .NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, WPF, JavaScript, Angular/ReactJS, SQL Server, DAQ platforms, and industrial test automation. This leader ensures engineering quality, operational reliability, system safety, and team capability development, while collaborating with global engineering and test operations teams. **What You Will Do:** Technical Leadership • Provide direction for architecture, design, and development of turbine test tools and DAQ systems. • Lead development using .NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, WPF, and C#. • Oversee web UI development using JavaScript and Angular/ReactJS. • Ensure strong SQL Server database design and performance. • Drive LabVIEW module development for measurement, automation, and control. • Define system integration strategies across sensors, controllers, networks, and software. • Conduct design reviews ensuring adherence to Solar Turbines engineering and safety standards. People Leadership & Capability Development • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers across software, LabVIEW, and DAQ domains. • Manage hiring, performance evaluations, and development planning. • Foster a culture of engineering rigor, accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Delivery & Execution Ownership • Own delivery of software features, enhancements, and releases. • Translate field and test requirements into detailed technical specifications. • Drive project planning, execution, and cross-team coordination. • Ensure compliance with safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. • Lead troubleshooting of deployed systems across software and instrumentation. • Leads modernization, and post-deployment investigations. • Maintain documentation, release notes, and version control. • Drive continuous improvements in stability, usability, and performance. Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration • Work with global engineering, test cells and Oil & Gas domain teams. • Contribute to long-term software product and capability roadmaps. • Represent engineering in technical reviews, audits, and stakeholder meetings. **Additional Information** • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in .NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, C#, WPF, JavaScript, Angular/ReactJS. • Strong experience in turbine test systems, industrial test automation, and DAQ solutions. • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW. • Experience leading engineering teams or acting as senior technical lead. • Strong SQL Server/database development experience. **TOP CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE** • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Turbomachinery environments. • Knowledge of Modbus, OPC UA, TCP/IP. • Familiarity with cloud interfaces, telemetry, or remote monitoring. • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for multi-disciplinary problem solving. • Ability to influence cross-functional teams globally. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. **What You Have:** Technical Problem Solving — Advanced + Leads resolution of complex issues involving DAQ, software, and hardware. + Coaches engineers in structured problem solving and RCA. **Software & System Integration Engineering — Advanced** + Guides .NET, LabVIEW, frontend, and database architectural decisions. + Drives scalable, maintainable, integrated solutions. Artificial Intelligence + Deploys or operates AI applications or platforms for business goals. + Manages the maintenance, enhancement, and lifecycle of AI systems, ensuring operational reliability and performance. + Directs the deployment and operationalization of AI applications and platforms, ensuring successful integration into business workflows. + Provides guidance for testing, validation, and troubleshooting of AI models and components, ensuring quality and compliance with standards. + Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to drive adoption, optimize workflows, and identify opportunities for leveraging AI. + Mentors and supports team members in developing AI capabilities and best practices.
