How will you make an impact in this role?

Function Description:

Legal Entity Reporting Centre of Excellence (LER CoE) is responsible for delivering on local Statutory Reporting and management of Statutory Audit for multiple legal entities across the International Region.

Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for preparation & coordination of Legal Entity Statutory & Other Reporting for entities  primarily across EMEA and LACC regions, including coordination with the Legal Entity Controllers before filing with authorities within prescribed timetable

Primary co-ordination point for the Statutory Auditors during external audits, ensuring that full analysis and explanations are provided to enable a clean audit opinion and Legal Entity Board approvalSupport Strategic initiatives like LER COE transformation, new GAAP compliance and other enterprise projectsLead a team of strong Band 30s/28s responsible for the delivery of Statutory Reporting and Audit.

Responsibilities:

Support the Legal Entity Controllers in achieving the local statutory filing objectivesResponsible for adherence to all local Statutory Authorities timelines and Reporting requirements through preparation, review and submission of local reports. These include annual financial statements, Financial Analysis Book (FAB), reports to the local Regulatory Authorities, as applicable.Ensure that all Statutory reporting issues are identified, escalated, and tracked to conclusionMaintain and control accuracy of information extracted from prime records into financial reports and ensure a fully audited reconciliation from USGAAP ledger to local GAAP report.Adequate controls, documentation and audit trails are in place to comply with Reporting requirementsCoordinate with the Legal Entity Controllership team to maintain up-to-date understanding of all Regulatory & Statutory Reporting requirements including potential regulatory changes to assess impact and proactively plan for implementation of changes.Coordinate with GFO and other functions to provide external audit support.Support / lead initiatives related to LER COE transformation, new GAAP compliance and enterprise projects

Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant, CA/CPA with minimum 7+ years post qualification experience in FinanceStrong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, statutory / regulatory reporting and statutory auditingAdvanced knowledge of IFRS GAAP and reporting requirementsStrong Risk & Control Knowledge and experienceStrong knowledge of AXP Policies, processes & systemsGood understanding of US GAAP and other GAAP is advantageousAbility to collaborate across geographies in a matrix structure and deliver on customer expectationsAbility to manage multiple priorities, drive projects and work well under tight deadlines.Excellent written/verbal communication, relationship building, presentation and collaboration skills.

Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels and stakeholders of an organization including senior leadership as well as External Auditors.
