Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing Information Technology to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will create an inclusive culture in a geographically diverse environment providing strong leadership and clear communication to manufacturing operations representatives to enable a highly functioning and digitally enabled factory.
This position will be located in Linthicum, Maryland and will not allow for a telecommuting arrangement.
This position will oversee staff at four locations, Linthicum, MD; Charlottesville, VA; Salt Lake City, UT; and Woodland Hills, CA. As such, the selected candidate will be excellent at communicating and working with team members remotely. The manager position will oversee projects and team members providing shop floor IT and application support for a variety of tools used in manufacturing operations. Tools supported range from custom in-house developed software, to commercial off the shelf applications, to PC and manufacturing equipment hardware used across a diverse landscape of manufacturing environments. This will be a dual role of functional and project management.
Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
•Direct supervision/management of 15 team members supporting manufacturing operations software and hardware systems
• Interact with NGMS users on variety of matters—tactical and strategic--related to IT systems and solutions that impact manufacturing operations.
•Lead ongoing continuous improvement efforts to improve existing internal processes and integration with other teams
•Provide guidance and oversight to employees to complete key deliverables
•Manage of product lifecycle through ideation to retirement including interfacing with customer to determine timeline and roadmap and high-level technical and system integration requirements
•Facilitate review and prioritization of customer requests for enhancements or fixes of existing software applications, considering long-term objectives and product roadmap
•Manage of long-term initiatives in support of the shop floor and disaster recovery and reporting progress to leadership
•Work with Cybersecurity to review/renew Information Systems Security Plans (ISSPs) for a number of unclass environments in the Linthicum facility
•Guide team members in career path, identifying and assigning stretch assignments, communicating growth areas
•Recruit and on-boarding new employees
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 5 years of experience
-Previous experience in a team leadership capacity
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with software engineering, the SDLC, and managing customer requirements
-Experience with IT support
-Experience in manufacturing
-Experience with Agile practices and managing agile teams
-Experience managing geographically diverse technical groups servicing multiple customers

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,800.00 - $209,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
