Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager – Retail And Catering Services.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for the management and execution of superior quality within all retail and catering operations. Adheres to and promotes the mission, vision and values of the Food and Nutrition Services Department and NYU Langone Health. Achieves a world class level of food and hospitality for our staff, patients, and guests

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Core values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.  Maintains the appropriate par levels for food/non-food supplies to ensure operational efficiency and eliminate waste for retail/ catering services. Merchandises Retail Services and catered events effectively and creatively to achieve optimal marketing of facilities/image. Prepares/reviews accurate and timely event costing, and other financial reports and maintains accurate safe/cash handling procedures. Participates in the review, revision and/or development of Departmental Policies & Procedures.  Maintains a sanitary, safe and efficient operation in accordance with federal, state and local health regulations and all standards set forth by The Joint Commission Participates in the development and management of the fiscal operating and capital budgets through appropriate review and supervision of resource utilization; inclusive of the development and implementation of cost saving/revenue generation strategies, to meet financial parameters. Develops, coordinates and executes menu cycles/promotions/service enhancements to increase sales, customer counts, and satisfaction.  Participates in the selection, orientation, training and performance evaluations of the staff to provide the opportunity for personal/ professional development with a customer service focused approach and ensure all staff met the standards of competency required for satisfactory job performance. Supervises subordinate staff.  Provides all facets of special event planning and interacts positively and collaboratively with clients, vendors, and other sub-units/ departments to foster effective partnerships and deliver desirable outcomes.  Maintains quality food and service at all designated retail venues and catered events with a hospitality focus for achieving excellence in customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Food Service Management, Hotel/Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.  2+ years of management experience in hospitality/food service industry, and Retail Services. Certified in ServSafe program (within 6 months of hire.)

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 – $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
