Manager – Derivatives Operations

As the Derivatives Operations Manager, you will oversee the operational processes related to derivatives trading, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. This role will manage a team responsible for trade confirmation, trade settlement, reconciliation, collateral management and regulatory reporting for various derivative instruments, including futures, options, swaps, and other complex financial instruments.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders—including portfolio managers, traders, risk management, and technology teams—to optimise workflows and minimise operational risk. Additionally, you will liaise with external partners such as clients, custodians, brokers, and fund administrators to facilitate seamless transaction processing and relationship management.

5+ years in a middle-office or operations role, with a proven track record of success Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team effectively Strong knowledge of derivative financial instruments including futures, options, swaps, etc. and their operational lifecycle events Familiarity with clearing and regulatory requirements for derivative instruments, including collateral management (VM and IM) and regulatory transaction reporting requirements (e.g. ASIC, EMIR and MiFID II) A history of resolving complex issues, driving process improvements, and performing under pressure with enthusiasm and resilienceExperience with systems such as AcadiaSoft, BlackRock Aladdin, MarkitWire, ICELink, TradeServ, DTCC GTR is highly regarded
