Provides leadership, strategic implementation and budget accountability for the continuous operation and staffing of the assigned behavioral health service teams. Interacts with patients, internal employees, and external agencies in a professional manner, keeping with the mission and values of the organization. Ensures program requirements are being met for assigned services. Develops and sustains effective working relationships with county, state, regulatory organizations, other human service agencies and affiliated communities. Assesses staffing needs; establishes business case for additional staffing resources, if needed. May assess minimum staffing needs in relation to specific programs to maintain compliance with state statutes (e.g., Minnesota statute 9520.0810). Responsible for hiring, staff development, clinical supervision, performance management and evaluation, and disciplinary action. Ensures that licensure and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are current for employees. Creates and implements onboarding processes for new employees. Ensures employees have knowledge of proper documentation for setting and/or program and use electronic medical record (EMR) systems appropriately. Facilitates cross-team integration by providing education on services provided and how role functions within the setting. Monitors, reviews, and ensures compliance of accreditation standards for a variety of regulatory bodies. May have responsibility for program development, depending on setting. May provide education regarding mental health issues to providers in different clinical disciplines and non-clinical staff; may also provide education to community, as requested. Assists with the preparation and performance of the operational. Has discretion over department expenditures and is accountable for expense management. Monitors work revenue units and productivity to ensure that billing and productivity expectations are met. May provide direct therapeutic care to patients of diverse populations with social, economic, developmental, emotional and related issues, as needed. Assesses patient needs, completes assessments as needed, diagnoses disorders (if independently licensed) or helps case conceptualize diagnoses, develops treatment plans, and implements treatment interventions specific to patient needs. Documents treatment. Provides patient progress updates to interdisciplinary team, as needed. May educate patient support members about patient issues and interventions. May refer for additional clinical services or to specialists, as needed, and provide case coordination. Must stay current on emerging issues in the profession. **Qualifications** Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human service field required. Must have a minimum of three years' experience providing behavioral health services, as well as two years' supervisory experience. Must be independently licensed in Minnesota with one of the following: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) **Benefits** Sanford Health offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
