Position Summary:
The Talent Development Manager, serving as a Talent Business Partner, plays a critical role in driving Dollar Tree’s enterprise talent strategy in alignment with key business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and business leaders, applying strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, and agility to support leadership development and organizational capability-building across the company.
The ideal candidate will lead the execution of key talent processes—including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development—while fostering a culture of growth, feedback, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to implement talent strategies that build organizational and leadership capabilities.
Lead key talent initiatives including performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, and high-potential leadership development.
Champion the adoption and integration of Dollar Tree’s leadership competency framework into talent processes and development efforts.
Design and manage development programs for high-potential leaders, ensuring a robust pipeline of future talent.
Promote a culture of coaching, development, and feedback by supporting the design and execution of performance management practices.
Guide leaders in assessing talent, identifying gaps, and creating actionable development plans.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to continuously enhance leadership development offerings.
Oversee leadership assessments, analyze outcomes, and ensure alignment with development planning.
Define and monitor success metrics such as promotion rates, engagement, and post-program performance improvement.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools in partnership with HR analytics to measure participation, impact, and ROI of leadership initiatives.
Provide coaching and development support to leaders to drive individual growth and organizational effectiveness.
Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field required.
5+ years of progressive experience in talent management, leadership development, or organizational effectiveness; retail experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success designing and implementing leadership development programs in a large, decentralized organization.
Experience leading or managing a team is preferred.
Prior experience managing new or evolving programs and initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
