The role of the incumbent is responsible for ensuring BIAH USA has availability of the right product at the right quantity at the right time for the retail market. Will be responsible for managing the subcontracting process for specific retail SKUs.
The planner will work to achieve the corporate supply goals of customer service level, production service level, inventory targets, minimization of back orders and outdated inventory, and overall continuity of supply to customers.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Ensure product availability, according to retailer's requirements by managing the subcontracting process:
+ control inventory on the inter-company SKUs;
+ create purchase order for subcontracting
+ control inventory on the local sku
+ Participate in the Demand Reviews and Sales & Operations Planning process with the demand planners to ensure understanding on the planning situation for the portfolio
+ Support the review of species' forecast performance and engage with species leadership to ensure improvement
+ Validate plausibility of new demand plan as it relates to past performance and future marketing plans, and challenge Marketing where necessary
+ Identify and drive to mitigate constraints in supply linked to the subcontractor
+ Lead evaluation of inventory risks and opportunities for Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance:
+ Identify potential surpluses/short-dated product and drive decisions to mitigate risks (discounting, promotions, free goods, etc.)
+ Identify potential backorder and drive mitigation plans to minimize impact to Net Sales
+ Review and forecast potential Destructions & Reserves and determine impact to Income Statement
+ Maintain master data for assigned materials utilizing the MDM process.
+ Work with demand planners to analyze and develop appropriate safety stock levels for assigned materials.
+ Maintain appropriate inventory levels of assigned materials to support inventory goals and production requirements. Responsible for analyzing and managing appropriate inventory control actions with regard to short dated, expired, or obsolete materials.
**Requirements**
+ BA or BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Production Engineering, Masters Degree strongly preferred
+ 4-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning and/or master scheduling experience in manufacturing and commercial business or similar experience and environment
+ Sales and Operations (S&OP) participation experience
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, connecting complex datasets from multiple systems into clear summary for decision making
+ Demonstrated ability to influence, communicate and build relationships at all levels, and to link Supply/Finance business objectives
+ Understanding of critical systems to manage the product flows along the supply chain (JDA, GRP, BIX@, SAP or similar systems)
**Eligibility Requirements:**
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
