OPPORTUNITY:
As a Manager of Security Governance, Sales Enablement, and Privacy, you will be primarily responsible for providing dedicated leadership and operational ownership across three critical functions that directly impact OpenText’s revenue enablement, regulatory posture, and organizational stability.
The role ensures the consistent execution of governance standards by translating OpenText’s global security and privacy requirements into clear operational controls and measurable outcomes. It provides the leadership bandwidth required to maintain discipline across policy adherence, control readiness, and governance cadence, particularly during audits, regulatory engagements, and cross‑functional initiatives.
For Sales Enablement and Privacy, the role is the dedicated owner for customer‑facing security and privacy delivery, including security questionnaires, assurance responses, and audit support. These activities are directly tied to revenue realization and sales cycle velocity of OpenText.
YOU ARE GREAT AT / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Security Governance
Translate OpenText’s global security and privacy requirements into clear operational standards, controls, and measurable outcomes.Ensure consistent execution of governance processes, including policy adherence, control readiness, and evidence management.Maintain disciplined governance cadence across audits, regulatory engagements, and cross-functional initiatives.Support internal and external audits by coordinating control owners, preparing documentation, and ensuring timely remediation of findings.
2. Sales Enablement
Serve as the primary owner for customer-facing security and privacy engagements supporting revenue realization.Oversee the delivery of customer security questionnaires, assurance responses, security requirements, and audit support during sales cycles.Strengthening sales velocity by ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate responses that demonstrate OpenText’s security and privacy posture.
3. Privacy Operations
Manage operational privacy responsibilities, including data protection inquiries, privacy assurance documentation, and support for cross-border regulatory requirements.Ensure OpenText’s privacy commitments are accurately communicated and consistently implemented.Partner with security teams to maintain alignment with global frameworks and regulatory standards.
4. People Leadership
Provide direct leadership for a team of 15, spanning Governance, Sales Enablement, and Privacy functions.Oversee performance management, talent development, and organizational planning.Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture with clear accountability and continuous improvement.
WHAT IT TAKES:
A minimum of 8 years of IT experience, 5 years in an information security role, and at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
A bachelor's degree in business management, information systems or equivalent experience; an M.B.A. or M.S. in information security is a plus.
Role-specific certifications are a plus:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Additional qualifications:
Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively with business managers and key stakeholders.Ability to build professional relationships across all levels and understand business imperatives.Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC1/2/3, HIPAA, SOC2+HITRUST, SOX, and FedRAMP.Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Project management skills include planning, scheduling, and resource management.Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and standards.Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 2700x, ITIL, and COBIT.Demonstrated flexibility in taking on various functions within the InfoSec domain.
