Your New Role
The Revenue Accounting Manager will assist in oversight and management of the LATAM and Domestic Revenue accounting department. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work with tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
Your Role Accountabilities:
• Manage a team of 3 to 6 people and be able to effectively make decisions and ensure compliance surrounding the company’s recognition of revenue policies
• Prepare and review journal entries as necessary to ensure monthly close deadlines are met
• Prepare intercompany account reconciliation, investigate outdated balances and discrepancies as well as coordinate clearing of balances with various regions
• Work with various regions in the reconciliation of revenue with Ad agencies and calculation of any related incentives prior to pay out and to assure proper provision
• Assist with preparation of SOX Controls and SEC reporting
• Assist with local statutory audits as well as any internal and external audit requests
• Assist Director as necessary with contract reviews and determine proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards and company policy as well as coordinate any system setups in order to properly recognize and report such revenue
• Ad hoc research, analysis, and reconciliations as they become necessary
Qualifications & Experiences:
• Minimum 7+ years proven accounting experience with revenue recognition and account reconciliation in accordance with US GAAP and local IFRS
• BS/BA in Accounting from an accredited university
• Active CPA, or local equivalent, required
• Prior revenue accounting experience (ASC 606) required
• SAP experience a must
• Experience using Blackline and Cadency a plus
• Advanced Excel and PC skills
• Must have strong experience to supervise and manage a large team
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Results oriented, strong attention to detail a must
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to foster positive working relationships across the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Desirable
• Portuguese as plus
• Big 4 public accounting experience as plus
