Principal Accountabilities:

1. Responsibility for the 24/7 operations of the respiratory therapy department. (Including but not limited to inpatient and outpatient areas, Team Member competency, scheduling, payroll, budget, maintenance of equipment or supplies, hiring and progressive discipline, and performance evaluations)

2. Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met regarding TJC, DOH, and Point of Care testing 

3. Collaborating and actively participating in Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds/VAE Rounds and maintains a direct line of communication with pulmonary physicians and the interdisciplinary team to facilitate/implement and routinely monitor weaning patients from mechanical ventilation. 

4. Support clinical bedside care (determined by Manager or Director).
