Department Overview
The Treasury and Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) department of TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the management of TD Bank’s Canadian and US P&C: non-trading market risk, consolidated liquidity risk and consolidated capital position.
The QRM Implementation and Change Management Team is responsible for the centralized ownership of the QRM Platform across all Treasury pillars. The team will works with teams across Treasury to ensure use cases are implemented holistically to all users of the platform and appropriate change management process for business logic is in place and aligned with model change management process. We will also work closely with technology to ensure the environment is appropriately sized and scaled for performant usage.
Overview of Responsibilities
The Treasury Manager will act as a subject matter expert for the QRM platform and its surrounding environment. The Manager will be expected to contribute value added analysis to drive change on the QRM platform. The manager is expected to be an expert on the details of parameterizing QRM while also having high level understanding of TBSM business objectives.
The Manager must have strong process and data analysis skills to quickly understand business processes and translate them into business and data requirements. The Manager must be a strong verbal and written communicator and can present their analysis in the required format (requirements, testing results, process maps, presentations etc.)
The Manager must be proficient with data tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL and Tableau to facilitate any required analysis and testing as part of supporting change on the QRM platform.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in Finance, Engineering or other quantitative degreeExperience implementing or using QRM as an ALM, Liquidity Management, Stress Testing or Forecasting toolProficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, PythonFamiliarity with:
Principles of asset liability management, liquidity risk management, stress testing and how Treasury delivers value.Understanding of capital market instruments, valuation techniques and interest rate curve construction.Understanding of how balance sheet items evolve over time and react to changes in market conditions and how these changes translate into key treasury risk metrics.Firsthand knowledge and experience with bank treasury processes and how they interconnect with upstream and downstream users would be considered an asset.Regulatory requirements related to asset liability management, liquidity risk management and stress testing.Experience and Competencies:
Working with end to end treasury processes, with first hand experience of measurement and reporting functions.Experience with using data analysis, investigations to drive business requirements, decisions and solutions.Experience with analyzing business / system / data workflows with the purpose of improving efficiency and enhancing controls.Learning new business concepts quickly and being able to translate this knowledge into business process designs / requirements.Communicating with all levels of the organization, including senior managementSimplifying complex concepts and business results in terms understandable by audiences with varied backgrounds & seniority levels.Analyzing and reconciling large data sets.Must work well with cross functional teams.Who We Are:
