The Project Manager provides strategic leadership and direction to project teams composed of both business and IT professionals. This role focuses on planning and delivering small to medium-sized solutions and larger, more complex Projects. An essential aspect of this position is mentoring junior project managers to enhance their skills and capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities: ResponsibilitiesConfirm project scope and budget with stakeholders.Coordinate requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder approvals.Develop comprehensive project plans and implementation schedules aligned with PMBOK® standards.Conduct internal and vendor inquiries to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.Provide regular status reports, including milestones, risks, and issues, to stakeholders and sponsors.Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.Act as the escalation point for project risks and issues.Offer leadership and guidance to achieve team objectives.Independently manage projects and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Recommend and deliver training sessions.Oversee change control processes and ensure successful project execution.Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.Ensure compliance with IT and departmental policies and procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.General ResponsibilitiesEncourage collaboration and idea-sharing within the department.Ask questions and seek input from team members.Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and re-engineering.Demonstrate commitment to customer service by resolving issues promptly and effectively.Consult with management on complex or unusual situations.Address project-related conflicts effectively.Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while working under pressure.Align with business and IT strategic objectives.Maintain reliability and conscientiousness in all tasks.Share best practices across the organization.Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Quality.Maintain confidentiality of IT systems, data, and proprietary information.Key Personal TraitsStrong leadership and decision-making skills.Creative and proactive problem-solving abilities.Highly organized and dependable.Open to feedback and adaptable to change.Excellent communication skills.Flexible yet decisive when required.
