Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Inc (ICE) is looking for a highly motivated and proactive leader with exceptional analytical, communication and business acumen skills to join our dynamic Procurement team.  This person must have deep expertise in strategic sourcing and category management, with a proven ability to manage complex, high value software spend in a global organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate success in driving cost optimization, exceeding savings targets, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient and compliant procurement practices.

 

Responsibilities

Ownership of the software procurement category, all related spend and processesLead negotiation and contract management of large-scale and complex software agreementsWork closely with stakeholders, the legal team, senior leadership, and suppliers to define requirements and strategize on contract negotiationsLead, mentor and support a team of Procurement AnalystsProactively analyze full category spend with the goal of increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and improving termsIdentify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement practices and supplier relationshipsEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in all procurement activitiesLearn the specifics of all purchasing categories and be able to back up other team members as necessaryPrepare and analyze various Procurement reports including category spend, cost analysis and savings achievements

Knowledge and Experience

Bachelor’s degree5+ years of indirect Procurement experience in managing the software purchasing spend category at a large global organizationStrong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets and drive actionable insightsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple competing and critical deadlinesMust be efficient in problem solving and identifying workaroundsMust possess sound judgment and meet ethical obligations to perform purchasing duties on behalf of the companyStrong proficiency in Oracle Cloud, ServiceNow, Tableau, and familiarity with AI-driven process automation.
