Job Summary
Lead a team of software engineers to plan, design, develop, and deliver high-quality RDK releases for Connectivity Residential and Business Gateway Devices. Collaborates with Quality Assurance team to conduct testing. Has overall responsibility for developing/administering performance standards for organizational unit. Manages team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assists in the development and meeting of departmental budget.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Release Planning & Coordination
Schedule and manage pre‑release activities—from planning to deployment—for stable and major release branches . Serve as the point of contact for readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and release milestone trackingCross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with development, QA, operations, and product teams to align on technical requirements and release schedulesFacilitate communication among stakeholders and escalate risks proactivelyAutomation & CI/CD Strategy
Enhance automation pipelines to support regression and end‐to‐end testing before each releaseDefine and maintain stable branch spins cadence to optimize automation effectivenessRisk Management & Issue Resolution
Track release blockers, lead troubleshooting efforts, and ensure resolution before each release windowCoordinate rollback plans, incident response, and remediation processesProcess Improvement & Standards
Define and enforce pre‑release best practices, documentation, checklists, and quality metricsConduct post‑release retrospectives to drive continuous improvementTeam Leadership & Development
