Your New Role
Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a communications professional with extensive experience and a strategic mindset to join its Sports division.
The role requires a strong understanding of the sports media ecosystem, the regulatory and political environment, and public affairs, as well as proven experience in crisis management, corporate reputation, and stakeholder relations. The selected candidate will work in close coordination with regional and global teams to ensure consistent, proactive, and reactive communications aligned with business objectives.
The overall purpose of the position is to maximize earned media exposure, manage reputational risks, and oversee relationships with media, audiences, partners, institutions, athletes, and key industry players in a highly visible and fast-moving environment.
We are looking for a candidate with strategic vision, leadership skills, and excellent judgment, capable of operating at both strategic and tactical levels.

Your Role Accountabilities

Media, Earned Media & Strategic Relationships

Lead the earned media strategy for TNT Sports as a primary force for boosting the brand’s visibility, credibility, and influence within the industry.Build, manage, and maintain strong communication relationships with federations, leagues, clubs, and key institutions in the sports ecosystem, ensuring alignment and long-term trust-based partnerships.Develop and strengthen relationships with key sports ecosystem talent, including on-air talent, journalists, former athletes, insiders, and influencers.Build and maintain trusted relationships with specialized, emerging, and broad-reach media outlets at both local and regional levels.Position TNT Sports as a relevant, credible, and consistent voice within the sports industry and the broader public conversation.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Alignment

Develop and execute the PR and communications strategy for TNT Sports Argentina, with strong regional perspective and alignment with global Communications priorities.Work closely with the Sports leadership team, serving as a strategic advisor on reputation, media, and public affairs.Ensure early and continuous integration with Content, Production, Marketing, Social, Legal, and Commercial teams.Proactively identify and anticipate reputational, social, and political impacts from the planning stages.

Narrative, Storytelling & Brand Positioning

Define, articulate, and uphold TNT Sports’ brand narrative and positioning within the sports ecosystem, aligned with Marketing and Corporate Communications guidelines.Turn key sports moments, events, and milestones into compelling positioning opportunities.Ensure long-term coherence, consistency, and credibility across all communications.Develop and elevate talent, journalists, former athletes, influencers, and executives as authorized industry spokespeople.Align spokesperson positioning with the brand narrative, business priorities, and editorial strategy.

Professionalization & Regional Consistency

Integrate the communications team’s work under a common strategic framework.Define shared playbooks, processes, and quality standards across markets.Elevate local sports communication from a tactical approach to a more strategic, consistent, and regionally aligned model.

Business Integration & Metrics

Partner with Content, Production, Marketing, and Social teams from the early planning stages.Amplify campaigns, launches, and key initiatives through an earned media lens.Define, monitor, and analyze KPIs with an annual perspective, prioritizing message quality, share of voice, sentiment, visibility, and reputational impact.

Crisis Management

Lead and manage crisis communication and reputation-related matters inherent to the sports environment.Anticipate potential risks and guide strategic responses in close collaboration with Legal and senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experiences

5+ years of experience in communications, PR, public affairs, or corporate communications, ideally in sports, media, entertainment, or agency environments.Proven experience in earned media leadership, crisis management, and issues management.Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related fields.Strong understanding of the sports media, institutional, and political ecosystem in Argentina and Latin America.Experience working with high-profile talent and senior leadership.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate in dynamic, high-visibility environments.Passion for sports, storytelling, and cultural impact.
