Responsibilities Works with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge to implement work flow and productivity measures that will achieve performance targets and customer expectationsWorks with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge and pharmacy staff to execute Company Initiatives, Core Processes and Quality Initiatives to continually improve the overall quality of service to our customersWorks with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/Pharmacist in Charge and pharmacy staff to ensure the business unit is in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws/pharmacy regulations and PharMerica’s Corporate Compliance ProgramDirects pharmacy staff on scheduling, purchasing, clinical matters and other tasksAssist in managing pharmacy personnel issues in conjunction with Pharmacy Director/Pharmacy Operations Manager/ Pharmacist in ChargeWorks with Client Services and Sales team to effectively communicate with customers (DONs, Administrators, Staff RNs) and resolve customer issuesWorks with pharmacy management team to ensure implementation of daily operational quality and cost containment strategies (pre-pack, front-end process, cycle-fill, etc.) occurs on all dispensing and procurement activitiesWorks with pharmacy management team to monitor the purchasing and inventory supply for the pharmacy to ensure goals are being met (inventory turns, preferred products, generics, TI, controlled drug monitoring, etc.) Performs other tasks as assignedConducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standardsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyThe requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requiredEach essential function is required, although reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

High-School diploma requiredBachelor’s Degree desired

Work Experience

5 years’ experience in long-term care, 5 years supervisory experience Desired: 10 years’ experience in long-term care required

Skills/Knowledge

Extensive knowledge of Framework: knowledge of pharmacy regulations; computer skills required

Licenses/Certifications 

Pharmacy Technician License required
