Manager, Operations Process Owner

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This is a Manager, Operations Process Owner role with a focus on Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Trade 360 Oversight. This individual will lead and deliver project oversite, status, timelines Issue and Risk for the PTO operations teams. PTO is accountable for 50+trillion dollars of transactions each year and is a highly dynamic segment.

The role will lead large scale transformational projects ensuring project requirements are translated into operational processes. The role is also responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing process documentation, managing UAT and PIV testing, and partnering with PTO leadership to influence external processes and behaviors. The role leads transformational change over multi-year time horizons through the implementation of next generation optimization technologies, and advanced reporting and analytics.

What will you do? 

Support a team of talented Business Analysts who are responsible for partnering with you in gathering and documenting processes, analyzing for optimization through performance, quality and other key data sets, identifying system requirements as it relates to process, and testing applications.Work with IT and vendor partners supporting & testing Trade 360 release builds.Identify, prioritize, and execute operational process improvement opportunities.Lead development and implementation of new tools and automation technologiesLead planning, train and execution of new work intake.Re-design processes to support transformational programs and other changes impacting operational processes.Satisfy multiple stakeholders in a very complex and demanding business and technology environment.Co-ordinate with RBC partners to influence external processes and behaviors that impact PTO operational efficiency.Plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned projects to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished within approved time frame, scope and budget.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

RBC Trade product knowledge3-5 years of experience processing Letter of Credit, Guarantee and Standby processDemonstrate growth and strategic mindset with ability to influence decisions.Excellent stakeholder management skills - proven track record of building strong relationships in a change management context.Comfort in a fast-paced environments with high complexity and ambiguityAbility to effectively manage competing priorities and deliver results on time.Excellent PowerPoint, Excel skills; analytical and reporting skills.Excellent communication skills - proven ability to influence, inspire, and persuade different types of audiences (including executives)Experience in end-to-end process optimization

Nice-to-have:

Operational /process background with exposure to LSS (Lean Six Sigma) or process re-engineering preferredInterest in AI solutions applied to process optimizationChange management mindedConfidence in decision making and strategic planningSense of urgency with ability to handle multiple demands
