Manager, Operations-Mission Control & Platform Insights
Position Summary...Join the Platform Stability team, the Spark Driver platform’s frontline defense against friction and disruption. Our mission is to monitor platform health in real time, flag emerging issues, and empower the business to act before users ever feel an impact. Within this group, the Mission Control team operates as the nerve center for incident intelligence—proactively triaging signals, issuing real-time alerts, and driving system-level mitigation.

Mission Control is where data meets action. Whether it’s identifying fraud rings or building dashboards to prevent outages, our team is dedicated to making the platform safer, smarter, and more stable. We transform raw data into strategic interventions, ensuring the Spark Driver platform remains resilient and trustworthy. If you thrive at the intersection of operational excellence and technical problem-solving, you’ll find a home here—working alongside experts who are passionate about proactive monitoring, fraud detection, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do... Develop and own Mission control dashboards that power proactive detection across platform experience, driver behavior, and driver support contact data.  Identify fraud signals within platform usage – that mission control can detect or build towards detecting – flagging indicators of organized behavior, user account compromise, and pattern manipulation.   Mentor and grow ICs or early-career specialists in operational analytics or defect triage.   Collaborate in root cause analysis of upstream defects using a blend of signals and ecosystem analytics.   Partner Cross-functionally to improve issue triage velocity and resolution accuracy- supporting a >25% improvement in time-to-diagnosis.   Work with the CXM team to scale AI-powered capabilities that enable future state monitoring, anomaly, and defect detection.   Leverage modern AI-powered tools to enhance the efficiency and impact of analytical solutions.     What you’ll bring:  5+ years of experience in operations, platform risk, or fraud analytics and/or operational analytics roles.   Proficiency in Operational Data Management, experience managing dashboards and real-time signal pipelines that inform decision making across product or production support teams.    Extensive experience with business intelligence platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI).  Proficiency in SQL and strong skills in Python or other statistical tools (R, SPSS, Stata).  Experience with data pipeline development, ETL processes, and workflow management tools (e.g. Apache Airflow).  Experience leading teams, or programs that monitor system health, user signals, or support indicators to detect and intervene early.   Strong investigative mindset with a bias for action, with the ability to surface unknown and proactively trace root causes across disparate signals.   A builder’s mindset – Deep familiarity with contact type data, fraud flagging systems and processes, or gig-platform operational exposure strongly preferred.    At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
