Manager, Network Engineering

Develops a disciplined, detailed and structured team to drive a high-performance culture and environmentProvides engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiativesEnsures required reports are timely, accurate and completeProvides technical guidance and assistance as required for problem resolutionOversees the daily activities of Network Services and performs direct supervision of team members, including performance reviews, career development, and staffing; work with staff to ensure that individual team metrics and goals are being metAdheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations and follows company policyEstablishes positive employee relations through effective communication and ongoing support

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum    

Required Qualifications    

Education    

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or related work experienceIndustry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E, etc.)

Experience    

6+ years of Network Operations and/or Implementation experience2+ years of project management experience

Skills    

Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional mannerAbility to analyze and interpret dataAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to manage multiple projects at one time, prioritize and organize effectively, and make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to work independently and supervise and motivate othersAbility to use personal computer and software applicationsAbility to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situationsKnowledge and experience with Network and Element Management toolsKnowledge of cable, voice and data communications networks, and associated elementsKnowledge of LAN/WAN design and operations, TCP/IP and SNMP, and HFC networksKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated leadership qualities
