Manager, Insights Consulting - Marketplace
Position Summary...We’re looking for an experienced Research Manager to help lead end-to-end qualitative research initiatives that uncover seller needs and elevate their voices across Walmart Marketplace. You’ll design and moderate studies that influence product development, go-to-market strategies, operational improvements and overall marketplace strategy. About the team

The Voice of Seller team plays a critical role in shaping the future of Walmart Marketplace uncovering what improvements and innovations that Walmart should invest in to drive Seller success. We partner cross-functionally with teams across product, marketing, and strategy to deliver research that drives action and innovation. 

What You'll Do…

Collaborate with and advise stakeholders across Marketplace Product, Business, Marketing, and Strategy to ensure research addresses strategic questions needed to engage Sellers and grow their businesses Lead B2B qualitative research projects (i.e., IDI’s, focus groups, co-creation workshops, etc.) from scoping through delivery, including intake, planning, execution, analysis, and storytelling Identify and pilot new research methodologies and AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation Design research materials including discussion guides, screeners, and stimuli Synthesize insights into clear, actionable opportunities and recommendations that influence strategic decision-making (i.e., high-rate of recommendation acceptance by stakeholders) Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining strong communication and structure throughout 

What You'll Bring…

Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand and operate within a complex, cross-functional business and manage stakeholder relationships from manager to Sr. Director 3+ years of hands-on qualitative research or UX research experience or competitive intelligence elicitation, preferably in industries of B2B, eCommerce, SaaS or in top-tier management/strategy consulting Proven expertise as a trained moderator with a thoughtful, human-centered approach Experience experimenting with or integrating AI tools into research workflows Curious, analytical, and proactive mindset—excited to connect dots across disparate data sources Strong project management skills with experience using tools like Airtable, Smartsheet, or similar Comfort with ambiguity, ability to see the “question behind the question” and a bias toward problem-solving and action Familiarity with research platforms such as Qualtrics, Recollective, UserTesting, etc., a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
