Job Description

The purpose of this job is to:

Oversee, lead, and set priorities for the income tax teamSelect, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviewsReview federal, state and local income tax returns, quarterly estimated taxable income calculations and amended returns as necessaryAnalyze and research complex technical tax issuesReview and manage responses to federal and state auditsManage relationship with accounting department to ensure information is recorded to facilitate compliance requirementsDevelop and implement practices and procedures for efficient collection of information, including development of new processes to meet changing tax law requirementsModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting requiredMasters’ degree in taxation or LLM preferredMinimum five years’ public accounting or corporate/public accounting experience requiredMinimum two years’ supervisory experience requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferredPartnership and S Corporation multi-state, multi-entity experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Access, requiredTax researchAccounting and tax software skills
