Manages the daily operations of the department while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Education, License & Cert:
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
Essential Functions:
Develops, maintains and monitors controls and computer systems/environment for the assigned area of the department.Participates on teams, committees, and special projects both internally and externally related to facility and systems services.Conducts hiring, firing, coaching, evaluations, disciple action and scheduling of staff.Provides input and monitors annual departmental budgets.Develops ongoing quality assessment activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and governmental requirements.Responsible for the daily operations, activities, customer services, operational efficiencies, quality improvement, financial outcomes, human resources management and physician relations of the Health Information Management Department (Records, Coding, Audit, Transcription).Other Duties:
