**What you'll be doing**
The Manager, FP&A will serve as a strategic finance partner to the US Commercial Banking line of business, providing financial leadership, insights, and decision support to senior business and finance stakeholders. You will work closely with executive management and various senior stakeholders to drive strategic decisions and ensure the financial health and growth of the business.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Financial Analysis and Reporting:** Responsible for driving planning, forecasting, results analysis, and financial analytics for multiple segments within US Commercial Banking, to support growth, profitability, and expense discipline. In addition, the role will have FP&A responsibilities for a centralized support group spanning multiple US lines of business, requiring strong cross-functional coordination, standardization, and enterprise mindset.
+ **Performance Reporting:** Develop and deliver monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key driver commentary. Translate complex financial information into clear, compelling narratives to support executive decision-making and business alignment.
+ **Business Partnering:** Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, offering data-driven insights and guidance on financial matters. Prepare and present financial results, outlooks, and strategic insights to broader US Commercial Banking teams and senior executives.
+ **Strategic Planning:** Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the growth and profitability of the US Commercial Banking business. Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
+ **Efficiencies:** Ensure transparency and accountability around expense management, efficiency tracking, and productivity reporting. Drive standardization of FP&A processes, assumptions, and reporting across supported functions.
**Who you are**
+ You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
+ You possess minimum 8-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
+ You are proficient in financial modeling, Excel, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Microsoft Suite).
+ You portray strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
+ You have strong understanding of banking financials, including revenue drivers, expense structures, and profitability metrics.
+ You show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management. Demonstrated experience presenting to senior executives and large audiences.
+ You possess high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
+ You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to changing business needs.
_At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of_ **$125,000 - $150,000K** _for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
