Job Description

Technical Operations, Engineering, and Cyber Security within NBCU Operations and Technology division with an $800M+ operating cash flow ($1.1B FCF). The group functions as a global shared service within NBCUniversal performing critical functions including Media, Broadcast and Studio Operations & Production, Content Supply Chain, Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Cyber Security. The group operates from numerous locations around the world, including New York, Connecticut, Los Angeles and Denver.

The Manager will play an integral role on the Engineering Finance team, which oversees the consolidation and analysis of financial information (OCF, Capital, Headcount, Allocations) across multiple lines of business. The position offers unique exposure to strategic planning that has an enterprise-wide impact. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Finance for Engineering and will manage one direct report.

Key Responsibilities

Support in all aspects of annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, analyzing key metrics and trends, and summarizing for executive level presentations for support areasEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial data, and provide regular reporting on financial performance, variances, and trendsIdentify and streamline system operations, reporting, and forecasting processes across the Engineering Finance teamsCollaborate with Operating, HR and Finance leads to tell an effective, concise, and consistent financial storySupport Controllership in monthly and quarterly closes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial performanceBuild effective business partner relationships with internal/external stakeholdersPerform various ad-hoc analyses including variance analysis, sensitivities, and other requests from senior managementManage a direct report, providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

BS/BA degree Finance, Accounting, or related field4+ years public and/or private accounting or FP&A experience preferredSolid financial and analytical skills including the ability to create complex financial models and efficiently communicate resultsMust be proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsAccounting / GAAP knowledge

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
