Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing one of four Fleet Engineering Programs Areas to provide timely and cost-effective engineering services and technical support for the Vistra Nuclear Fleet. The position is based at Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station and will manage program owners across all sites. This role ensures that code required inspections are implemented to maintain licensing bases for each site. The manager will represent the company in negotiating with regulators, contractors, and industry groups to achieve nuclear production objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Provides leadership to Programs personnelMaintains Nuclear Station design and licensing basisPerforms reviews of major Programs scope and codesResolves Condition ReportsFacilitates staffing activitiesDirects the activities of the individual contributors within the groupCoordinates and plans large work-scope projects and task teamsCoordinates Programs baseline, O&M and Capital budgetsPrioritizes and approves group activities and work productsAllocates personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet Fleet goalsProvides timely resolution to technical problems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operationProvides engineering recommendations and priorities important to plant operationsControls costs within approved budget limitsInterfaces with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of the Nuclear Station

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

At least 5 years exp in nuclear powerBS in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyExperience leading technical professionals, budgeting, planning, and schedulingTechnical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures preferredKnowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations preferredNuclear Programs Engineering experience preferredSRO Certification or License preferred
