The Manager, Compensation Business Partner provides strategic leadership in designing, evaluating, and implementing enterprise-wide compensation programs that advance Sentara’s mission to improve health every day and to be the trusted partner to individuals and the community.

This position manages a team of Compensation Program Managers and analysts and serves as a strategic advisor to executives, HR partners, and Talent Acquisition—ensuring Sentara’s compensation programs support the attraction, development, and retention of top talent across clinical and non‑clinical roles, for broad-based, physician and executive compensation.
EducationBachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.Certification/LicensureCertifications (CCP, CECP, GRP) preferred.Experience5 years progressive compensation experience; healthcare background strongly preferred.Expertise in base pay, incentive design, physician/executive compensation, market pricing, job evaluation.Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into leader-friendly insights.
