Don't miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world's best in paediatric healthcare. **Position Description** SickKids' Clinical Research Operations (CR Ops) is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Manager, Clinical Research Facilities and Services with extensive experience and expertise in clinical research and clinical research services and oversight. We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Manager, Clinical Research Facilities and Services (CRFS) to lead the Clinical Research Centre (CRC) and Clinical Research Coordinator Services at SickKids. The CRC supports researchers across SickKids by providing specialized clinical research nursing expertise and space including clinical investigation rooms dedicated to clinical research study visits and activities. The centralized coordinator services (CRCS) team supports study teams and Principal Investigators (PIs) by offering fee-for-service study coordinator services to help facilitate all aspects of their research studies, from study start up, to REB submissions, to patient enrollments and coordination and overall study management and oversight. Other services such as Centralized Cognitive & Mental Health Assessment Servies will also fall under the purview of this role. The successful candidate for this role will play a pivotal role in overseeing the coordination, management and operational aspects of the clinical research services and facilities, ensuring the highest standards of clinical research conduct and patient care. While a nursing degree is not a requirement for this role, candidates who possess one'alongside extensive clinical research experience'would bring a valuable combination of skills and insight that would be highly advantageous. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation, streamline processes, and enhance the capabilities of the various clinical research service areas to support cutting-edge clinical research led by clinical researchers across SickKids. **Here's What You'll Get** **To** **Do:** + Direct and oversee daily operations of the various clinical research facilities and services at SickKids, including but not limited to the Clinical Research Centre (CRC), Clinical Research Coordinator Services (CRCS) and Centralized Cognitive & Mental Health Assessment Services (C2MA) + Provides operational support to the CRFS teams throughout the lifecycle of a study using the centralized clinical research facilities, from intake to management to close out of the study, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.' + Provide leadership and direction to the clinical research nursing team, to the clinical research coordinators and other CRFS staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. + Lead the recruitment, performance management and development of staff to ensure resources and skill levels are in place to meet the needs of the study teams. + Collaborate closely with clinical service providers, Principal Investigators and other stakeholders to support the seamless intake, setup, and execution of clinical research studies, ensuring alignment with facility capabilities, institutional and regulatory requirements, and study timelines. + Responsible for establishing and overseeing administrative workflows and processes. Manages service agreements and oversight of study + Oversee budgets, accounting, and monthly service billing to ensure accurate financial management, cost-effectiveness, and sustainable day-to-day operations. + Develop and implement robust cost recovery mechanisms, including tracking, invoicing, and resolving financial queries. + Ensure that gaps in infrastructure, services, or policies are identified and remediated. + Develop and implement operational standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and quality management systems to ensure delivery of standardized and high-quality work. + Responsible for inspection-readiness from an operational and regulatory perspective + Develop, implement, and manage performance metrics (OKRs and KPIs) to monitor operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with Clinical Research Operations and institutional priorities. + Develop communication and marketing strategies to promote and increase awareness of various clinical research facilities and services within SickKids. + Contribute to annual business and strategic planning (including preparation of reports for institutional committees), resource allocation, and business development to expand services and capacity. + Represent SickKids on relevant committees and through presentations, where appropriate. + Perform other related duties as assigned by Director of CR Operations or other senior leaders. **Here's What You'll Need:** **Essential Requirements** + Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as nursing, clinical research, health sciences, or management is required. + 5-7 years of progressive experience in clinical research, preferably in an academic, CRO or pharma setting. + Minimum 2 years of supervisor, or manager experience. + Knowledge of Health Canada and FDA regulations, Tri-Council Policy Statement (TCPS2) and ICH GCP. + Experience in developing and implementing SOPs and processes related to regulatory affairs and clinical trials management. + Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and empower teams and individuals.
