ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Catering Sales Manager to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving catering sales, building client relationships, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of catered events.
This role requires a strong sales background, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the catering and hospitality industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Business Development:
+ Identify and target new business opportunities to achieve sales goals.
+ Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue from catering services.
+ Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
+ Proactively drive sales within your territory through outreach efforts and participation in local events to grow a strong book of business.
+ Manage and track your outreach budget to ensure goals are met.
+ Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and follow ups.
+ Process payments, deposits, and final invoices in line with company policies.
+ Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and event details.
+ Manage and update catering order calendar invites for seamless execution.
Client Relationship Management:
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
+ Provide customized proposals and contracts based on client requirements.
Event Planning and Coordination:
+ Collaborate with clients to plan and coordinate details of catering events and drop off.
+ Work closely with the operations to ensure successful event execution.
Community Development and Management:
+ Identify and establish strategic partnerships with organizations, businesses, and influencers aligned with our goals and values.
+ Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing partners, sponsors, and brands through regular communication, follow up and strong rapport building.
+ Develop and implement outreach strategies to initiate contact with prospective partners.
+ Create a consistent list of questions and qualifications to better assess valuable partnerships.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, addressing inquiries and maintaining open lines of communication.
+ Coordinate events, campaigns, and other collaborative activities to maximize the impact of partnerships.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and execute joint initiatives outlined in partnership agreements.
Post-Event Evaluation:
+ Conduct post-event evaluations after every event to analyze the success of events and partnerships.
+ Gather feedback from attendees, partners, and sponsors to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field.
+ Proven experience as a Catering Manager or in a similar hospitality role.
+ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
+ Knowledge of New York's corporate catering and community events.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ This is not a remote position — role requires presence at various Pura Vida Miami–NYC store locations with the ability to move from location to location.
+ Willingness to be present on site for events.
+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
+ Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
+ Adaptability to work in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.

Salary Range: $80,000- $85,000 + Quarterly Commission - 2% of catering sales
