**Position Summary:** Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Data Engineer to access data and manipulating large datasets to support business plans and needs using SQL, SAS, and similar tools. Analyze business results and ensure they align with company goals and vision and provide reports on results; Integrate business logic with upstream and downstream systems and applications. Work with business teams and cross-competency teams completing tasks related to business solution planning, business case development, documenting, and managing business requirements throughout the development lifecycle. Support the strategic partners organization mission to strengthen relationships with our producers and partners. Support the achievement of Aetna’s growth and retention objectives. Develop and maintain data infrastructure to support the management of incentives programs supporting commercial business. Apply analytics mindset to a focus on collective, parsing, managing, and automating data feedback loops in support of business innovation. Conduct or coordinate testing of analytic solutions to ensure results are consistent with business requirements. Develop possible solutions to any possible problems identified in this analysis. Manage and merge large datasets. Conduct appropriate mapping. Ensure the development of required supporting documentation. Collaborate with business unit leadership and consultative partners to identify, launch, and support transformational programs to realize goals of distinct initiatives and overall UM strategy. Access existing available data, identifying data gaps, and collaborating with Data Strategy and business partners to develop approaches to closing the data gaps. Multiple positions.
**Requirements** : Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
• Agile methodologies and SAFe Software Development Principles;
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and best practices;
• REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs.
• JIRA, Rally, or Confluence.
• Hadoop and Hive;
• Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL;
• SAS or SQL programming;
• Domain support for healthcare or retail organization;
• Large-scale applications development, data science, or data analytics projects;
• Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail organization;
• Marketing analytics, clinical trials, or health research; and
• Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases.
**Pay Range:** $145538.00/year to $145538.00/year.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
