And we do it all with heart, each and every day. **Position Summary** The Manager within the Specialty Analytics team will be responsible for maintaining and growing the Microsoft SQL Server for extensive use in Analytics. This will include regular synchronization with internal upstream database tables & mapping tables, outputting to downstream analytics platforms. The Manager will maintain and develop VBA automated claim status platforms. The Manager will contribute to developing analytical models, methodologies, reports, and process changes that support the company’s strategy initiatives. The Manager will design, develop, and deliver innovative analytic solutions, construct and manipulate large datasets to support planned analysis, using Alteryx/Dataiku, SQL, Teradata, and similar business intelligence tools. The Manager will lead problem analysis, solution validation, risk management, issue resolution/escalation and stakeholder engagement processes. The Manager will manage and report on various business innovation strategies, oversee day-to-day aspects of assigned moderate to complex projects to ensure each project is delivered timely. The Manager will engage with diverse stakeholders, driving alignment and fostering productive working relationships in a dynamic environment. **To be successful in this role you should have:** + Extensive experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred) + Experience with VBA, demonstrating an ability to code and troubleshoot issues + API experience + The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with demonstrated ability to lead projects + Experience providing business-related and/or technical subject matter expertise on large, highly complex reporting projects + Experience developing business analytics to support senior leadership, multi-functional departments, staff members and peers + The ability to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new systems and underlying data sources + Exemplary ability to communicate with others in a detailed, efficient, and professional manner + A penchant towards fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing to lead key tasks and responsibilities + Efficiency mindset and demonstrated ability in streamlining projects to happen more quickly/simply/elegantly + Excellent technical and problem resolution skills + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships, collaborate across functions, and convey information clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and cross-functional teams + The ability to collaborate effectively across the organization and engage with stakeholders at all levels **Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities** + Maintain and develop SQL Server infrastructure to support Analytics’ needs + Develop and expand understanding of existing database knowledge for our department + Examine the business needs and develop outputs that support decision-making processes + Contribute to creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner + Analyze trends and patterns to identify areas of improvement, efficiency gains, and opportunities for growth/improvement + Use statistical techniques, data mining, and predictive modeling to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations within the data + Help stakeholders make informed decisions by providing insights into potential future outcomes and their associated risks + Apply critical thinking and problem-resolution skills to derive meaningful insights that drive business decision-making + Participate in cross-functional teams, including business directors, managers, finance/accounting/operations/analytics professionals, and executives to understand their information needs and help them make informed decisions + Perform data validation to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data used for analysis + Ensure the data used in the analysis is trustworthy and meets demonstrable and predefined quality standards + Collaborate with data governance teams to establish data standards, data quality checks, and best practices for data collection and storage + Explore innovative tools and approaches to improve data analysis and drive continuous improvement within the organization + Demonstrate interest in opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge through training, certifications, or participation in relevant industry events **Required Qualifications** + 5+ years’ professional experience with a focus on Analytics, Business, and/or Technology + Extensive SQL Server / Oracle experience (preferably Microsoft SQL Server) + Experience with VBA coding/troubleshooting **Preferred Qualifications** + SPARCS / SPEDM table knowledge/experience + GCP / Big Query experience + Experience using Microsoft Excel (advanced), Data Extraction, Wrangling, Visualization, and Automation Tools + Prior project leadership experience + Desire to grow within the company toward eventual people-management **Education** + Bachelor’s Degree Required; equivalent years of experience may be considered + Master’s Degree Preferred **Anticipated Weekly Hours** 40 **Time Type** Full time **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $60,300.00 - $132,600.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
