The Manager, Business Analysis and Insights is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives to optimize business operations for our store analytics team. This role leverages advanced analytical tools and techniques to collect, organize, and interpret data, identifying trends and anomalies to uncover opportunities for improvement. Key responsibilities include conducting ad-hoc analyses with key stakeholders, building or coordinating the building of dashboards, and deep dives to address immediate business concerns or support strategic projects.
This position leads the delivery of data-driven solutions and actionable insights to enhance business performance. The Manager develops analytics solutions and products, establishes key performance indicators (KPIs), and creates dashboards to monitor operational processes. The role is also responsible for generating comprehensive reports and data visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Collaboration and ownership are central to this role, requiring partnership with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and ensure continuous improvement. You will provide insights and recommendations to drive operational efficiencies, optimize workflows, and improve business outcomes. Similarly, partnering with technology teams, you will develop and implement scalable data and analytics solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in STEM related discipline or 3+ years of relevant work experienceStrong SQL and problem-solving skillsStrong analytics and storytelling capabilities using visualization toolsAbility to prepare data by data wrangling and gathering information, performing a subsequent data analysis if required, and working closely with the engineering team for creating the correct data models for a production solutionCreating both simple and complex data visualizations in a tool like PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker, based on the requirementsStrong communication skills - Able to work closely with stakeholders for requirement gathering and performing a subsequent data discovery exercise / hypothesis testingStrong documentation skills – clear note taking, creating a well written / oral feedback loop with stakeholders, timely updates for leadership teamAbility to develop and conduct high fidelity mock-ups / wireframing sessions before building visualizationsRetail experience is an assetAble to operate in a SCRUM environment with the ability to create and track their work in JIRA stories (estimation skills, updating notes, etc.)Tools
