Position Summary...We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager to join the Marketplace Payments team. In this role, you will be a key part of the Payments and Financial Strategy group, responsible for driving global payment strategies, strengthening financial risk management through advanced payment controls, and enhancing the end-to-end seller payout experience. This high-impact position requires strategic thinking, advanced analytics, and product insights to improve payout accuracy, increase transparency, elevate seller satisfaction, and drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Tech, Seller Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.

What you'll do...Drive the design and optimization of advanced payment controls (e.g., Pay on Delivery, Reserve Advancements, Rolling Payout Schedules) to manage financial risk while ensuring seamless seller experience.Develop analytical frameworks and insights that identify payment risk trends, define payout strategies, and improve cash-flow predictability for sellers.Drive the creation and enhancement of self-serve, on-demand payment dashboards that give sellers real-time visibility into settlements, reserves, fees, and payment timelines.Partner with Product, Tech, and UX teams to translate insights into scalable product features that reduce friction and improve payout transparency.Support Global Seller Experience efforts by aligning payout policies, strategies, financial controls, and standards across international marketplaces to maintain parity with the U.S. marketplace.Accelerate automation of payment workflows and controls, streamlining payment reconciliation, settlements. Improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enable scalable support for high-growth seller segments and new service launchesDefine and monitor key performance metrics for payout accuracy, loss exposure, and seller satisfaction, providing executive-level reporting and recommendations.Partner with the Operations and Business teams to drive operational excellence across the organization, creating systems and processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and a positive culture  Key Success Criteria Strong analytical and problem-solving expertiseExceptional communication and influencing skillsDemonstrated ability to drive ownership and accountabilityData-driven mindset with a bias for actionAbility to build trust and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholdersValues team dynamics and inputsDeep commitment to operational excellence and seller success Qualifications   Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar field required and 3+ years of progressive experience preferably in Payments, eCommerce, Risk, Financial Services or similar spaceAdvanced understanding of SQL with hands-on experience working with large-scale datasets.Experience with one or more data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.Exceptional analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with a proven track record of using data-driven insights to influence strategic business decisions and deliver measurable results.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Knowledge of e-commerce marketplace platforms, seller payments and financial ecosystems is a plus.Understanding risk management and fraud prevention in payments is an advantage. Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
