Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

Ability to relocate to Glen Allen, VA for the duration of the 1 year training program, and to the assigned branch location within the Northeast Division footprint (Maine to Virginia) upon completion of the programThe ideal candidate would be a new college graduate or have 1-3 years of working experience out of collegeAn associate or bachelor degree, preferably in Business Management, Sales, Operations Management, or FinanceA desire and the drive to be a leader in a constantly growing industry!Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license/certification if required (company paid)We will consider for employment all qualified applicants in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws. This includes having a valid driver’s license.

 

What will my work environment be like?

 

Program participants will split time between classroom training in Orkin Northeast’s World Class training facility and hands on training in various branch locations in Virginia and Maryland.

 

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and be able to safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacityLift and carry up to 50 lbs.Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlWear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respiratorWilling to work in different types of weather conditions
