Job Description:
The Managed Care Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the health system’s Managed Care department by providing advanced financial analysis and modeling for payor contracts. This position is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, developing projections for potential contract changes, and serving as the superuser for Epic contract modeling and Strata analytics. The analyst will also leverage price transparency data and benchmarking tools to assess the organization’s competitive position within the market. This individual is expected to deliver accurate and timely financial insights that support contract negotiations, payor accountability, and strategic decision-making for the health system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration preferred. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, healthcare reimbursement, or managed care contracting required. Strong knowledge of payor reimbursement methodologies, healthcare finance, and managed care principles. Experience with Epic contract modeling and Strata (or similar financial analytics tools) strongly preferred. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling/reporting tools required. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, prepare reports, and communicate financial insights effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to interact with leadership and cross-functional teams.
