Overview We are seeking a Mammography Technologist , sometimes referred to as our Rad Tech II or Radiologic Technologist II . Who will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as Mammograms or X-rays in our imaging center and/or Southern Regional . Producing high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis, prioritize patient safety and comfort, and adhere to radiation safety protocols. Performing diagnostic imaging but also ensures the safety, comfort, and proper care of patients while supporting the overall efficiency of the imaging department. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed . Shift’s Available:   Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location : Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL ** You will need to have your ARRT- M ( Mammo ) through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT ) in order to move forward in this position. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + O perate advanced mammography and X-ray equipment to ensure precise imaging and optimal diagnostic outcomes + P roduce high-quality diagnostic images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment + P repare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient safety + E nsure imaging equipment is functioning correctly, conduct routine quality control checks, and report any issues for repair + V erify images meet quality standards before submitting them for physician interpretation + M aintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the Am erican Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT) Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  + Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. + Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required + Current BCLS (AHA). + Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations. + Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT. + Proficient computer skills.
