Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Shifts: 2nd or 3rd shift (Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday)

Pay: Higher rates available with certifications/licenses

Job Overview

Join a union facility as a Maintenance Technician, responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and collaborating with plant operations and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Adjust and repair packaging equipmentReplace defective parts using hand/power toolsPerform routine maintenance (motors, belts, filters, etc.)Diagnose mechanical problems using manuals and schematicsClean and lubricate machineryCollaborate with contractors and plant teams

Required Skills

2+ years of industrial maintenance experienceTroubleshooting and mechanical repairElectrical knowledge (110–480v motors, circuits, switches)Preventive maintenance and LOTO proceduresEmergency response familiarity

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of electrical systems and controlsStrong interpersonal skillsCertifications/licensing for higher pay

Work Environment

Dairy manufacturing plantMaintain utilities: boilers, HVAC, compressors, ammonia systemsTraining provided on day shift

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.90 - $36.25/hr.
