Pay Rate: $30.33/hour & $1.50/hour shift premium This site manufactures Petfood: Pedigree, Cesar, Nutro, Royal Canin, Iams & Whiskas

 

Shift Schedule:

Rotating Shift (must be available for all)

1st ShiftSaturday–Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PMMonday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMWeekend Off2nd ShiftMonday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PMWeekend Off 3rd ShiftMonday–Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AMSaturday–Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM5 Days Off Monday- Friday

 

Description of Role:

This role is designed to develop mechanical and electrical skills, with a focus on maintaining manufacturing and packaging equipment. It aims to equip associates with the skillsets needed to grow and advance within the business.

 

What are we looking for?

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED2+ years’ experience troubleshooting mechanical systems and processesPrior experience in a manufacturing environmentBasic knowledge of electrical principlesFundamental understanding of industrial control systems

 

Physical Requirements

Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Associates or technical degree Experience with TPM, AM, AWT, 5S, or Continuous Improvement

 

What will be your Key Responsibilities?

Develop in diagnosing and troubleshooting processing, filling, packaging, and warehouse systems during factory operations.Understands how to inspect equipment for wear, abnormalities, metal fatigue, and damage.Write and complete both planned and unplanned work orders.Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.Identify potential unsafe conditions and food safety risks, and recommend improvements.Participate daily in area/equipment AM/PM performance board activities.Promote a mindset and methodology focused on increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and fostering a Zero Breakdown cultureAny ad hoc requests
