**Job Title: Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician at our Schertz, TX location, where your primary responsibility will be troubleshooting automated equipment. You will perform daily preventative maintenance according to the CMMS schedule, balancing a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance tasks. This role involves calibrating and repairing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, and air pressure systems, as well as electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Troubleshoot automated equipment.
+ Perform daily preventative maintenance according to CMMS schedule.
+ Balance 50/50 preventative/reactive maintenance.
+ Calibrate and repair equipment in response to CMMS requests.
+ Conduct mechanical, pneumatic, fluid, and air pressure repairs.
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
+ Assist in major component replacements.
+ Provide feedback to enhance predictive maintenance.
+ Participate in workshops and certifications.
+ Utilize lockout tagout procedures to ensure safety.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience.
+ Proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting and repair (270 or 480v).
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
+ Basic data entry and typing skills on a computer.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude.
+ Team player with a detail-oriented mindset.
+ Initiative in making quick repairs.
+ Experience with preventative maintenance and work orders.
+ Knowledge in electronics troubleshooting and repair.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with conveyors, control panels, cooling fluid transfer pumps, or fiber optic censoring systems.
+ 480v electrical knowledge.
+ Manufacturing maintenance
+ Experience in manufacturing equipment repair and troubleshooting.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a manufacturing plant where candidates must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for up to 10-12 hours a day. You should be able to lift or push up to 50lbs and be prepared to work weekends and holidays. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn, and adherence to the designated uniform is required. Shift options include day shift (6am-6pm, Wed-Sat) and third shift (6pm-6am, Wed-Sat), with competitive pay rates and shift differentials.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schertz, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
