Maintenance Technician I

Compensation


The pay range for this position is $25.00–$32.00 per hour, depending on role, level, and location. Actual pay will be based on work location, skills, experience, and education. Additional details may be discussed with the recruiter during the hiring process.


General Purpose
Perform general mechanical maintenance of facility and manufacturing equipment in a timely, safe, and professional manner.


Essential Job Functions
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Repair and maintain facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and humidification
• Perform minor building repairs, including painting, masonry, wallboard, ceiling tiles, and woodwork
• Use measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers accurately
• Perform basic facility repairs, including replacing light bulbs, ballasts, filters, plumbing fixtures, and maintaining forklift batteries
• Prepare and operate machine tools such as grinders and drill presses to fabricate or repair parts and fixtures
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues
• Inspect and test fire alarms and fire pumps
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, compressors, and related systems
• Perform preventive maintenance activities
• Respond to on-call maintenance needs as required
• Build custom parts as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Operate scissor lifts and forklifts safely
• Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Training or certification in machine-specific and electronics fields preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of machining experience
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical component repair experience
• Working knowledge of AC/DC motors
• Training in basic electrical and mechanical safety
• Ability to safely use hand tools and small power tools
• Basic computer skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on-call and overtime as needed
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
