**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** This position involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment in a steel plate and steel coil manufacturing environment. The role primarily focuses on plasma tables and steel coil lines, with occasional preventive maintenance work on forklifts. Seventy-five percent of the time will be spent in the production area addressing preventive maintenance and equipment breakdowns. **Responsibilities** + Perform general maintenance on plant equipment, including lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections. + Communicate with operators to ensure smooth operation and detect any problems or concerns. + Complete work orders and identify potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects. **Essential Skills** + Experience in troubleshooting, mechanical, and preventive maintenance. + Proficiency in working with industrial equipment, welding, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics. + PLC troubleshooting and electrical skills are essential. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Preventive maintenance experience. + Experience with welding. + PLC troubleshooting experience is a nice-to-have. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading North American producer of steel plate and coil that values its employees. Be prepared to be on-call approximately once a month. Work in a large industrial warehouse originally designed for building warships. The environment is old-school, and while you are out of the elements, it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to frequent door openings and closings. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
